Discover Portugal's second largest city in the panoramic tour by bus and by foot! Did you know that Igreja das Carmelitas is also known as the Carmo Church which is said to be one of the city's most eye-catching buildings with its array of blue and white tiles on the walls?
We’ll continue down to the water, Cais de Gaia, where we will see the historic riverfront area, the Riberira, that is a UNESCO world heritage site since 1995. Built by on both sides of the river Douro we will have a view over the portwine lodges and caves that are all located on the other side, across the river.
The tour includes a stop for coffee or refreshment and the traditional custard cake “pastel de Belem”.
